Peggy Morgan led a life of music, love, creativity and healing.
Peggy Morgan Thode was born in Philadelphia, Pa, the daughter of Edward W. and Nancy Cowgill Thode. She has a brother, Bill Thode, now of Doylestown, PA and sister Bebe Thode Poor of Perkasie, PA. Her loving family extends to numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
Peggy graduated from Germantown Friends School, Philadelphia, PA, in 1968. She attended Brown University, in Providence, RI.
Peggy and her partner, Bette Phelan, had a twenty year career as folk musicians and song writers. They performed as Morgan & Phelan and toured throughout the US and abroad. They wrote and recorded 4 albums of original music and a children’s album of American folk songs and stories. You can find links to Morgan & Phelan’s music on this page.
When Peggy and Bette settled on the Big Island of Hawaii, they continued their love of making music together. Peggy began playing Celtic Harp, and began writing instrumental music. They recorded three CDs as Acoustic Ocean, which received airplay on radio stations world wide.

Peggy excelled in her twenty year career as a massage therapist, specializing in Cranial Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage and Heart Centered Therapy. She practiced and taught yoga for over 40 years.
Peggy was a strong, committed healer, and gave a heroic effort in her struggle to recover from cancer. She believed she could beat it and tried many therapies. Those of us who she helped with her sensitive healing hands are devastated by this loss.
